Two traumatized orcas skulk in the Monterey Bay Aquarium after haters spray painted slurs on their tank's glass.

ORLANDO, FLORIDA – Human-on-orca hate crimes are skyrocketing following the recent death of a Sea World trainer at the hands of a captive killer whale, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

Apparently fueling the flames is the theme park’s controversial decision to continue its killer whale show and not  punish Tilikim, the 12,000 pound killer whale involved in the incident.

Instances of orcas being taunted with slurs such as “tuna munchers” and “sea zebras” have been widely reported across the country.

“The slurs are extremely hurtful, especially for younger, more impressionable orcas,” said Mamuu, spokeswhale for the Orca Defense League. “They also inaccurately portray who we really are. For one thing, tuna comprises a very small part of our daily diet. And for another, we’re nothing like zebras – we don’t even have stripes!”

Authorities say vandals have targeted giant orca tanks located at aquariums, gaudy Vegas casinos and supervillain lairs.

“We haven’t seen this type of a backlash against a group since many albinos were attacked after the release of the DaVinci Code,” said Deputy Assistant U.S. Attorney General Wanda W. Wasserman. “We urge all orcas to exercise caution when venturing out into public places.”

In remarks from the White House, President Obama condemned the attacks, urging Americans to be reject any sort of violence or intimidation against aquatic citizens.

“Orca-Americans are an important part of our society,” Obama said. “They demonstrate that we are not simply white Americans or black Americans, but black and white Americans, with blow holes and dorsal fins, and flippers that swim from sea to shining sea.”
